Q:
Display, Installation After installing Session 8 (IBM) 1.7, other programs don't work correctly.
A:
During the install, BWCC.DLL is installed to the Windows directory. BWCC.DLL that comes with S8 1.7 is an older version, distributed with Borland C++ ver. 3.1. If you install the old version to the /WINDOWS directory, it will take precedence since Windows searches that directory before the /WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory. The old version will cause most other recent applications using BWCC, including most of Borland's apps (e.g., Paradox, Quattro Pro etc.) not to work correctly. This will happen whether Session 8 is running or not. Also, the old version of BWCC has a problem with its button bitmaps which cause them to be displayed in an ugly fashion on any display using 16 bit color drivers. This has been fixed in the newer releases of BWCC from Borland. Users can delete the old BWCC that S8 1.7 installs from /WINDOWS if they have the newer one in /WINDOWS/SYSTEM.
