Q:
When I’m playing sounds through the FireWire 410 with Sound Forge 6.0 using MME or Sonar 2.2 using WDM Kernel Streaming in Windows 2000, I hear clicks while quickly starting and stopping the audio file playback. What is going on?
A:
M-Audio is currently working with Microsoft to resolve the situation where their operating system does not communicate status quickly enough to the FireWire 410 driver; the delay results in a slight click. This problem does not occur with Windows XP under the same conditions.
