Q:
How do I save or export a Kurzweil K2000, K2500, K2600, or K2661 sequence so I can play it on another sequencer (as a Standard MIDI file)?
A:
To export a sequence to another sequencer, the easiest way is to save the file as a .MID file. To do this, once you have selected Save in Disk Mode, press the Export soft button. Select the MID soft button and you will see a list of all Songs currently in the Kurzweil's memory. Simply select the song you want exported and follow through the rest of the save dialogs. For all versions of the K2000 or the K2500 with a version prior to v2.52, the file is always exported in Type 0 format. If you have v2.52 or later for the K2500 (or a K2600), you will be given a choice of Type 0 or Type 1.
