Q:
Layering Sounds and Splitting the Keyboard on the Roland Discover 5.
A:
The DisCover 5’s UPPER, LOWER and SPLIT buttons allow you to layer two sounds on top of each other, or to play each in its own area of the keyboard.
1. Press the UPPER and LOWER buttons so they’re lit. 2. Locate the SPLIT button. If it’s: •not lit—the upper and lower sounds are layered, and play together across the entire keyboard. •lit—the keyboard is split. The upper sound is played by your right hand, and the lower sound is played by your left hand. 3. To return to normal operation, press SPLIT so it’s not lit, and turn off LOWER.
