Q:
I can't control volume from Cubase using Battery. I can only control the volume from within Battery. Is there a way to do this?
 
A:
If you just have Battery sending a stereo output, you will see a track on the Cubase mixer called Bty 1, that is Battery's audio output.

If you have Battery setup to multiple output mode just lower the respective channel volume on the Mixer from within Cubase. They appear as Bty 1, Bty 2, and so on.
