Use the following procedure to initialize the E-500 and restore the factory
settings:

1) Press UTILITY.
2) Use the [<>] soft buttons to select "FACTORY PRESET."
3) Press the [EXECUTE] soft button.
4) Press the [OK] soft button.
5) When "Reset Complete" is displayed, turn the unit off and back on.
