Q:
Deleting Song Files from Disk on the Roland KR-570.
A:
The KR-570 does not have a specific disk management function to delete song files from a disk. Instead, when a new song is saved to disk it can overwrite an existing file. Choosing a song title of an existing disk file as a save “destination” overwrites that file, thereby deleting it. Use the following procedure to delete song files from a song disk:
1) Insert a disk containing a song file to be deleted. 2) Press SAVE. 3) Use the [v / ^] soft buttons to the left of the display and the [< / >] soft buttons below the display to name the new song to be saved. 4) Use the [v / ^] soft buttons to the right of the display to select the old song file to be deleted. 5) Press [SAVE]. NOTE: The new song will now overwrite the old file.
