You can check in the 'battery door' (where there actually is no battery) for a capacitor and resistor. If your Cough Drop has these, you have the condenser mic version. If not, you have the dynamic mic version. The types of microphones used on a specific box are not interchangable (though it will not cause any damage to the mics) because of the electrical nature of these mics.
