Q:
How do I update the OS on my Zoom MRS1266 or 1266CD?
A:
You'll want to extract the downloaded OS (download the one which says via CD) to a directory.
Burn the contents of this directory onto a CD, a folder VERUP and two files FACTORY.ZEX and readme.txt should be at the root level of the CD. Be sure to use Mode 1 (if the option is available) and disc-at-once. Insert the CD into the MRS1266, power the unit up, and it should find the OS update and prompt you on what to do. Choose VER UP? with the cursor keys and press ENTER. Press Enter again to answer SURE? Do NOT choose RECOVER? because this will ERASE your data and the MRS-1266 will not properly operate. When DONE appears, power the unit off and back on, and it's ready to go.
