One of my CD trays won't open consistently on my Marantz CDR500, it seems to be getting jammed. What can I do? Can I fix it?

One thing to try is to perform a hard reset on the machine:

1. Power off the unit
2. Hold down "Record Mode" and "Final" buttons while powering the unit back on
3. Wait to see the display read "End"
4. Power off and back on
