Something is rattling around inside a Mackie 1620 Onyx console.
A:
If a customer calls reporting that something inside their Mackie Onyx miser is clunking or rattling inside the unit when they move it, explain that this is normal and nothing to worry about. There is an expansion board cable which is tied to the main board, but the unused end just sits loose inside. It's the female end of a ribbon cable, so it's all plastic - no loose metal bouncing around.
Greg Bowers discovered this after we replaced one unit, then the replacement did the same thing. Non-published, but OK to share with customers as needed. |
