Q:
When I try to pull up Trilogy as a plugin in ProTools, I get the message, “UVI engine error. Could not change preset. Error 1409.”
A:
To fix this, trash ProTools preferences by following these steps:
1. Quit all applications. 2. Double click the main Mac HD and go to Users > your user name (the house icon) > Library > Preferences. Inside this Preferences folder, locate and trash the following items: com.digidesign.protools.plist DAE Prefs DigiSetup.OSX ProTools v6.x Preferences. 3. Empty the trash, launch ProTools and try Trilogy in a new session.
