Why can't I select SPDIF Coax (RCA) in my EMU 1820 soundcard?
 
A:
You'll need to go into the EMU Patchmix DSP, session settings, IO tab, and under PCI card set the optical format to ADAT. This disables optical S/PDIF and defaults the S/PDIF format to be coaxial.
