Q:
Do I need to have a GSIF-2 compatable audio card or download updates to my existing sound card to run Tascam GigaStudio 3 on my Windows PC?
A:
No. Gigastudio 3 will run in three different modes:
1. GSIF (original - most pro-audio sound cards have this option) for standalone operation 2. GSIF-2 (many pro-audio sound cards have or will release driver updates) for standalone operation 3. Rewire mode (with a Rewire application, this option does not require a GSIF-compatable card. If possible, you'll want to use the GSIF-2-compatable drivers to provide even better latency than GSIF-1
