Q:
Can I use ASIO drivers with my Event EZBus in Windows? My software application is not recognizing the ASIO driver.
A:
This problem can be solved by updating your EZbus ASIO driver to the latest version (2.1.10). Before installing the new version, the older version must be deleted from your hard drive.
1) In Windows XP, you can find the EZbus ASIO driver, called ASIOEZBUS.dll, in the folder C:\ Windows \ System 32. In Windows ME the file is located in C:\ Windows \ System. Once you have found the file, right-click on it and select Delete from the pop-up menu.. 2) Download the latest ASIO driver from: www.event1.com The driver should be downloaded into the same folder where the older version resided. 3) After downloading, locate the file, then click on it and drag it on top of the file named REGSVR32, which is located in the same folder. Now release the mouse button; a message box will appear stating "DllRegisterService in ASIOEZbus.dll successful". This message tells you that the Windows registry recognizes that the ASIO driver is installed. 4) Launch your software application and navigate to the window where you select the ASIO driver. The EZbus ASIO driver will appear in the selection window.

How do I know if my EZbus is properly installed in WinXP / WinME? I can't get sound to play back from my computer through the EZbus. I hear a very pronounced echo when I'm recording into my software. I'm using the latest ASIO driver, but it's still not being recognized by my software. I get a loud hissing (white noise) sound when playing audio over USB through the EZbus. |
