Q:
Why doesn't the Yamaha FC7 volume pedal work with my Kurzweil K2000, K2500, K2600, or K2661 keyboard?
A:
The Yamaha FC7 volume pedal has a logarithmic taper rather than linear, which is needed in digital controller applications such as volume pedals for keyboards. The Kurzweil series also prefers to see a different resistance of the variable potentiometer inside the FC7 and therefore does not work correctly with the Kurzweil.
