How to use the Sony EQ Settings Converter plugin.
----------------------------------------------------
The download file contains plug-ins that allow you to load mixes that contain settings for the previous (MIX only) version of the Sony Oxford EQ plug-in.
a) - Download the converter plugins file and uncompress the installer.
b) - Install the plug-ins by double clicking the HDCONVERT icon.
c) - Make a backup copy of the mix you want to convert just so that you have a safety copy. Start Pro Tools and load the mix containing the settings you want to convert.
d) - Click on each Oxford plug-in insert button in the mix and follow the instructions in the plug-in window. You must select the plug-in shown in red in the window, otherwise the plugin settings will not be converted. For example,
settings for a 5 Band EQ MUST be saved into the new 5 Band plug-in.
e) - When you have converted all the settings, save your mix.
If you want to convert old settings files you will need to first import them into a converter plugin. You can select the converter plugin you need from the bottom of the plugin list and then use "Import Settings..." and "Show: All
Documents" to load the settings file into the converter plugin. You can then save the settings into the new version of the plugin by selecting it from the ProTools plugin list.
Note: If you have converted all of your mixes and no longer want the converter plugins to appear in the plugin list you can remove the file called "ZZZSonyEQConvertor" from the "System Folder:DAE Folder:Plug-Ins" folder.
