Q:
Recently my Windows XP machine has stopped running my pro-audio software, getting errors. What can I do?
A:
Make sure automatic updates have not installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). You can check this by right-clicking on My Computer and going to Properties. You'll see:
Microsoft Windows XP (Home or Professional) Version 2002 Service Pack 2 (or 1) If you have Service Pack 2, you may want to uninstall it as we have found numerous problems with it. Try removing it from Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel.
