In DP 4.5, you can Bounce to Disk directly as an interleaved stereo file.

To do this, choose "Core Audio Export: AIFF", "Core Audio Export: Sound Designer II", or "Core Audio Export: WAVE" as the Format. You can also choose to Bounce to Disk directly to MP3, by choosing "L.A.M.E. Audio Export: MP3" as the Format.
