How does should the Tascam US2400 control surface show up in Windows XP device manager? Why does it show up as an audio device?
A:
WinXP device manager should show "USB Audio Device" under Sound, Video, and Game controllers. This is just the nature of the Windows built-in drivers regardless of the fact that the device has no audio on-board.
