Q:
What performance do I need to use for multichannel MIDI mode on the Roland JV1010?
A:
The JV1010 defaults to a good multitimbral mode when you first change it to performance mode.
However, if you have already selected a performance mode, you'll want to send a program change on the control channel to change to PRA12 (Pop set 1) which is the multitimbral mode for using with an external sequencer. See page 35 in the manual for further information about sending program change numbers and banks.
