When I playaback in ProTools 6.x, I get an error message, "MIDI Filter... -29299" and I can't resume playback.
A:
When this error was encountered in Mac OSX, trashing preferences helped.
1. Quit ProTools and all applications 2. Go to the Mac HD > Users > you username (the house icon) > Library > Preferences. 3. Inside this Preferences folder locate following items and drag them to the trash: com.digidesign.protools.plist DAE Prefs Digisetup.OSX (and if present "Digisetup.OSX Corrupt") ProTools LE 6.x Prefs 4. Empty the Trash and restart ProTools.
