Q:
How do I find out the Operating System (OS) version on my Tascam DM24?
A:
To check the OS version on your DM24:
1. Press SHIFT-OPTION 2. Go to PREFERENCES 3. Cursor down to VERSION INFO, hit ENTER This will show the OS version, as of January 2005, the current version is 3.0, this will be displayed on all parts except for the last two items listed. If you do not have the latest version, you can either download the upgrade from Tascam's website and upgrade it from an external MIDI device (the built-in MIDI will not work) or call Tascam's parts department to order the EEPROM chips (this is the recommended method). If you order them, there is a $25 deposit required (plus shipping), of which the $25 deposit will be refunded to you when you return the old EEPROM chips to Tascam.
