Choose Ni-Cad Battery type in the Bat_type menue.

Unit needs to be on so that it can sense the third terminal on that battery.

Then Power Cycle the unit and shut it off.

The Charge light will come on Steady (not flashing as stated in the manual) and will turn Off when the unit is fully charged.
