Q:
How do I enable onboard audio to on my Creation Station Computer?
A:
In order to enable the built in audio device on your Creation Station, you will need to have the provided motherboard CD. (This should read "P4P800/P4C800")
With Windows running, insert the disc mentioned above in your CD drive. The program on the disc should launch automatically. Click on SoundMAX Audio Driver and Application on the main Drivers Page. Continue through the wizard to complete the installation of the driver and software. Once it is finished, it will ask you to restart. Please check no and shut the computer down completely instead of just restarting. Next is to get into BIOS to make a change: In order to get into BIOS, power on the system and immediately start tapping the delete key. As soon as the Blue and White Bios screen appears, you can stop pressing the Delete key. Once in bios, •Arrow right to the Advanced settings •Arrow down to Onboard devices Configuration and press Enter •Press enter again on the highlighted OnBoard AC'97 Audio in order to display the Auto/Disable status. •Change the selection from Disabled to Auto and press enter. •Press Escape •Arrow right to Exit and press Enter twice. This will restart the system with the new settings. Once Windows boots up again, the Audio Card that was just enabled should see the drivers that were loaded earlier.
