Melodyne is not dongle based. It is based on challange/response copy protection. Melodyne cre8 is single license product, so you can license it only to one machine, plus one license key for reserve supply purpose. According to the license agreement Melodyne cre8 can only be used on one computer at a time. If you want to use your product on your mobile computer as well, but not simultaneously, a second installation for mobile use is included under your main license. Simply install the product on your mobile computer and complete a new authorization by registering the laptop System Host ID. You will then receive a second Authorization Key for the mobile computer.
Melodyne Studio Edition is ready to be expanded with up to two additional side licenses. So Melodyne Studio Edition can be licensed to three computers if you purchase side licenses to it. Each side license costs 150.- $. Mixed authorizations for PC and Mac Systems are no problem.
