Yes, this is a little-known feature of the Big Ben. You can run AES/EBU in from a digital source, as well as another device on S/PDIF, and, according to the BigBen's front panel clock selection, it will switch between passing the audio from AES/EBU or S/PDIF while still getting the benefits of the BigBen's stable word clock signal.
