Bounce to disk quits and give error "Could not complete Bouce to disk...Assertion...line 33" in ProTools on a Mac or PC.

In some cases changing DAE playback buffer back to level 2(default) fixed the problem. A DAE playback buffer of 8 has been seen to cause this.
