Q:
Omega Cubase and Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger)
A:
Since the release of Macintosh® OSX 10.4 Operating System, known as “Tiger,” it has come to our attention that there may be difficulty installing Cubase® LE on this operating system. As the Cubase LE Recording Suite is an integral part of Omega™ Studio, we at Lexicon® Professional feel it is of utmost importance to support our customers.
If you have already installed Cubase LE that came with Omega Studio on your Macintosh computer before upgrading to OSX 10.4, you should not experience any difficulty. Cubase LE and Omega have been extensively tested on Tiger OS; the issue appears to be solely related to the installer. If you have recently purchased the Omega Studio package and wish to install it on a computer with the Tiger Operating System, you will need to obtain a new installer for Cubase LE software. Lexicon is working closely with Steinberg® GmbH, the makers of Cubase LE, to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Please check our website for information about obtaining the new installer package as soon as it becomes available. If you are using a Windows® XP computer, a Macintosh with OSX 10.2.8 or higher (but prior to 10.4), or plan to use another, third-party recording application, this will not affect you.
