Insert a blank CDR or DVD into your computer.

You'll get a window asking for a Name, and in some OS's an Action, choose Open Finder.

You'll then get an icon for your blank media on the desktop.

Drag the data files you wish to back up into that icon just as though it were a folder.

Then, choose Burn Disk... from the File menu.
