I am getting a “-5000 error” when trying to launch my audio application with Waves installed.
A:
Be sure to download the latest Pace Interlok (iLok) drivers from paceap.com (you'll still want the drivers even if you don't have a physicall ilok USB key).
If that doesn't help, use Disk Utility to repair disk permissions. 1. Quit all applications 2. Go to Macintosh HD>Applications>Utilities and open Disk Utility. 3. Select the Macintosh HD in the list and choose Verify Disk Permissions within the First Aid section. 4. When Verify Disk Permissions is complete, click Repair Disk permissions. 5. Quit Disk Utility and try installing again.
