I hear Saffire has its own built-in DSP. What does this mean and what is the DSP used in Saffire?

This allows the Saffire to power plug-ins and software that mean the tools available to the user are extended far beyond what you can see on the hardware alone. The DSP used is Analog Devices Black Fin.
