My BOSS BR1600CD says that the unit is "Writing," and then gives me the error on playback saying "Wrong Disk," even after I follow the instructions for burning an Audio CD.

You may need to update the firmware. Open the tray on the unit, and feel underneath; you should feel a piece of metal. If there is a criss-crossed, dotted pattern that you can feel, it needs a firmware update. If the metal is smooth, the software may need to be updated.
