Q:
I need to uninstall my MX-Edit 1.0 software for my
MX-200 Lexicon reverb
A:
Instructions for manually removing MX-Edit 1.0
1) On the Windows Start menu click “Run…” 2) Type “regedit” then click OK. This will open the Windows registry editor. 3) Using the registry tree on the left, delete the following keys (you can delete keys by selecting them and hitting the Delete key). a. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\E71FA65E7D1072A40B986DD9E70ED7EB b. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HMG\RegFolderInstall\MX200.dll 4) Using Windows Explorer, delete the folder where you installed MX-Edit. If you didn’t change the default location during installation, the folder is: “C:\Program Files\Lexicon\MX-Edit.” Note that you may have to tell Windows Explorer to show you files in the Program Files folder because they are hidden by default. 5) Delete the file “C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\Lexicon\MX200.dll” if it exists. 6) Run the installer again
