Q:
The power supply that comes with the MicroTrack 24/96 accepts a standard USB cable. Can I use this to power up other USB devices than the MicroTrack 24/96 and use them standalone?
A:
No!! A standard USB port on a PC or Mac provides a maximum of 500 mA. The MicroTrack 24/96 power supply provides 1 Amp current. This is twice the current when comparing to a USB port on your computer.
If any 3rd party USB device can't handle the higher current (which is likely), it will be damaged! Do not use the power supply for devices other than the MicroTrack 24/96
