Q:
Mackie Control Universal with Adobe Audition.. how do I do it?
A:
The Mackie Control must have firmware version 2.1.2 in order to properly interface with Audition.
The upgrade is available, in the form of a zipped MIDI file, for download at the Mackie website. The Mackie is powered off, then put in upgrade mode as it is powered up again. The problem is that Audition does not want to play the MIDI file. Workaround was to play it back in WinMedia Player. Be sure that your MIDI device is enabled in Control Panel/Sound and.../Audio (MIDI Device). The download includes a Readme file that details the process. Once the download was complete, the Mackie came to life.
