I'm getting a message from Pro Tools that says, "The drive could not be...

I'm getting a message from Pro Tools that says, "The drive could not be designated ... not a valid audio drive" after trying to change T to R in the Workspace in Windows XP. I also get random "Windows delay write failure" messages for this drive.

Right-click and My Computer and go to: Manage > Device Manager > Disk Drives > the drive in question. Right-click on the drive and go to: Properties > Policies. Check "Optimize for performance," press "OK," and restart your computer. Now change T to R in the Workspace, and the drive should now be a valid audio volume.
