DAE error -6088 during record or playback in Pro Tools on Windows XP.

Try switching the cable running to your ProTools hardware. This cable could be:
- a Firewire cable to a 002 or 002R.
- a USB cable to an MBox, MBox2 or Command8.
- an ethernet crossover cable to a Control24.
