Q:
How do I go about making a Red Book CD (standard audio CD) using Tracktion?
A:
You can either stream the audio via FireWire/USB, SPDIF/AES digital (or analog) to a dedicated outboard (Red Book) CD recorder or, render an audio file (wave, aiff etc) from within Tracktion and then open that file in a program dedicated to CD layout and burning (Wavelabs, CD Architect etc)
Note: Remember, regardless of what sample rate and bit depth you have set in your Tracktion project the standard Red Book audio CD requires 16bit 44.1kHz. So whether you are streaming or rendering, be sure your final bit depth and sample rate is 16bit 44.1kHz.
