Q:
How can I listen to Windows Media Player using my Digidesign hardware (MBox, 002, etc.)?
A:
In Windows Media Player (WMP), there is a small button next to the minimize/maximize/close buttons. The button is a small arrow pointing down. Click on this, then go to Tools > Options > Devices, doubl-click on Speakers. In this window, you can select your Digidesign driver. Press "OK" twice, close WMP, and reopen it. You will now be able to hear sound from WMP through your Digi hardware!
** Note: This configuration was tested using Pro Tools version 7 and WMP version 10. Earlier versions may have different menu choices, or may require the use of the MMe Helper.
