Q:
Local Control settings in the HandSonic HPD-15
A:
Most of the time, it is recommended to set Local Control to "OFF" when recording a pad performance from the HPD-15 into an external MIDI sequencer. Use the following steps to turn Local Control Off:
1. Press SYSTEM. 2. Press PARAMETER < or > until "MIDI LocalControl" shows in the display. 3. Turn the PATCH/VALUE to select "OFF." 4. Press SYSTEM or EXIT when finished. Note: If Local control is set to OFF, and you're not using MIDI with the HPD-15, no sounds can be heard when the pads are struck. Make sure to set Local control to "ON" when MIDI is not being used.
