Q:
When I insert a picture CD into my Mac with OS 10.4, iPhoto automatically opens. If I don't want to use iPhoto how to I change this?
A:
1) From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
2) Click the panel named "CDs and DVDs" (second row named HARDWARE) 3) There, you can choose behaviors for inserting various kind of disks. In this case you'd want to change the phrase, "When you insert a picture CD" from "Open iPhoto" to another option, like "Ignore" or "Open other application..."
