Q:
ASIO is no longer listed after installing 8.0b over the top of 8.0a.
A:
The solution to this is to uninstall/reinstall Sound Forge 8.0b. Use the following steps:
1. Uninstall Sound Forge 8.0b using the Add/Remove Programs control panel Start-->ControlPanel-->Add/Remove Programs. Note: You MUST backup your presets before uninstalling. Please see our knowledge base article labeled How to backup your audio presets or transfer them to another machine. Please also see our knowledge base article labeled How to recreate your custom presets on Video FX and transitions, for information on backing up your video presets. 2. Locate the Sound Forge 8.0b installer file you downloaded from our website, or browse to the Sony Setup files on your hard drive and run the Setup.exe file normally located at: C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\Sound Forge 8.0\Setup.exe. 3. Install and register as normal.
