Q:
Pro Tools has run out of 82 byte tokens on a Mac. How do I fix this?
A:
To specify additional tokens should be allocated, create a text file called "TokenSizes.txt" and place it in the "Pro Tools" folder if on the Mac.
Here's how: 1) Make a text file using SimpleText (OS 9) or TextEdit (OS X) on the Mac. Name the text file: TokenSizes.txt. In OS X, when you try to save the file as a .txt file, you will get a message about not being able to save. Choose "Use Both". 2) In the text file you must type the following line: Size:Count1 82:1000 and place this file into the Pro Tools folder. 3) For OS X, the Pro Tools folder is located: Mac Hard Drive > Applications > Digidesign > Pro Tools. For OS 9, the Pro Tools folder is located: Mac Hard Drive > Digidesign folder > Pro Tools folder. Place the text file in the Pro Tools folder.
