Q:
What configurations are supported with the Apogee Ensemble beta firewire driver version 200_b13_e8?
A:
- all G5 and Intel Macs
- OS X 10.4.7 - 1 Ensemble connected to the firewire bus. The connection of ANY other device, such as hard drives, cameras and other Firewire audio devices, is not officially supported at the moment. - Hot-plugging is not supported – To avoid hot-plugging, always make Firewire connections with both Ensemble and the Mac powered off, power on Ensemble BEFORE powering on the Mac, power off Ensemble AFTER powering off the Mac. - The computer should not be allowed to enter Sleep mode; go to System Preferences>Energy Saver and set the Put the computer to sleep when it is active for slider to Never.
