Q:
I'm getting DAE -6 alternating with DAE -87 errors on my PC with Pro Tools 7. What does this mean?
A:
This combination is symptomatic of an operating system incompatibility. Make sure you are running the following:
• Windows XP Home or Professional. • Service Pack 2. ...and not: • Windows XP Media Center Edition. • Windows XP Professional x64. • Windows XP Tablet Edition. • Service Pack 1. • No Service Pack at all. You can check this by going to System Properties, accessible by either: - Right-clicking on My Computer and choosing "Properties." - Going to Start > Control Panel > System. If you are getting these errors with a compatible OS, please call Tech Support.
