Q:
DAE error -9129 or -9093 and "increase or decrease the buffer size" errors when running Pro Tools LE on a Windows-based Intel Core Duo Laptop.
A:
this is due to using a version of Pro Tools that is not compatible with Intel Core Duo processors. In order to be able to use a PC with an Intel Core Duo processor with Pro Tools, you will need to disable Multi-Core Support in the BIOS or update to a new version of PT.
To do this, go to BIOS > Post Behavior > Multi-Core Support. The options you will find there are "Enable" or "Off." Turn Multi-Core Support Off. If you need help getting into the BIOS, contact your PC manufacturer.
