I have connected a computer running Windows XP and the H4 via USB, but the H4 is not recognized correctly as an audio interface.

The driver software may not have been installed correctly. Perform the steps below to update the driver software.

1. Click the [Start] button, right-click on the [My Computer] icon, and select [Properties].
2. On the [System Properties] screen, click the [Hardware] tab and select [Device Manager].
3. Open the [Universal Serial Bus Controllers] branch of the tree display and look for a [USB Composite Device] with a [!] symbol.

If there is a [USB Composite Device] with a [!] symbol, right-click on it and select [Update Driver...].
If there is no [USB Composite Device] with a [!] symbol, restart the computer and try again.
