"Access Violation occurred while processing your request" in Pro Tools.
A:
This error might occur if the session you are working on is an OMF file that was exported from Final Cut Pro.
As a workaround, select File > Save Session Copy In... and select a new location for your session. Make SURE that you enable the "copy audio files" option. This will create a completely new and independent session for you to work on, which will not contain any of the bad data from the original OMF file.
