Q:
In Pro Tools, I keep getting alternating DAE errors -1113 and -1123 when I try and launch Pro tools HD. Why?
A:
The 1123 and 1113 errors can be caused when a HD core card is installed but the Flex cable connecting it to an accel card is either connected incorrectly or not connected at all. Make sure that the Flex cable is attached from port "B" on the core card to port "A" on the accel card.
Another reason could be if the HD cards are not seated correctly. Check to make sure if any IDE or SATA cables are preventing the cards from seating correctly in their PCI slots. If you also try running Pools with only a core card and no accel cards installed and the -1123 error continues, then it is possible that there is a problem with the hardware. Running Digitest will help to identify the source of the problem.
